For seven years, the Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter has been opening the world of communication to people with hearing loss through information, education support and advocacy.The Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter provides CART, a captioning service for its members in addition to 8-10 available FM neck loops for its members to use. This past year, we have provided workshops on positive communication using Sam Trychin’s workbook. We have also had speakers come on topics like how to handle stress as it pertains to hearing loss.  We also have had speakers from Hi HealthInnovations and Cochlear to come in to talk about technology that would help us hear better in a variety of situations.The Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter continues to work together to provide resources and information as well as spreading awareness to our members. The Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter would like to have more neck loops available to provide to all members as our chapter is continually growing.
