Chapter Meeting: October 2015 – HLAA Joins ALDA Workshop: From A to Z (Must RSVP by Oct 3)

In lieu of our regular chapter meeting, this October the HLAA Chicago, Lincoln Park Chapter is joining ALDA in their workshop: From A to Z (Apps to Zoom!) in Oak Park.

From A to Z (Apps to Zoom!) is a two-part workshop:

1. “c-APP-italizing on Technology” is a hands-on presentation by Tina Childress with Ed O’Brien. It is designed to give you some insight and firsthand experience with great applica????ons for your “smart” technology. Please be sure to bring your smartphone and tablet devices with you for this por????on of the workshop.

2. “Travelogue Dialogue” features interviews with well-seasoned deaf and hard-of-hearing travelers to provide you with essen????al ????ps, tricks and things to know to help you while traveling.

THIS EVENT IS FREE, BUT YOU MUST RSVP NO LATER THAN SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2015

This workshop is in memory of Stan Iversen, a long-time ALDA member who passed away on November 13, 2014 at the age of 90. Funding for CART at this workshop was provided by Stan’s family in his honor.
